Who sees the tips I submit?
The independent operators of this community board — neighbors in Bay City. Not a hotline, not a direct line to police. We read every tip and decide whether to share an anonymized version here so neighbors are aware, and whether to forward it to the appropriate authority when warranted.
Will my name be shared?
Only if you choose to provide it. Name and contact fields are optional. We never publish identifying details you give us unless you explicitly ask us to.
Why not just route to Crime Stoppers?
The community has a right to know what's happening on its own streets. Tips routed straight into a one-way pipeline don't come back as awareness. We keep neighbors in the loop.
What if it's an emergency?
Call 911. This site is for after-the-fact tips and community awareness, not active emergencies.
